A set of images of urban trees in Tortona specifically focusing on images of trees, leaves, bark and habits along with general information, taxonomy, and selected biometric data for each tree. The data was collected adopting a method based on crowd-sourcing and manual data collection. The data collection campaign involved 1,452 observations conducted over 16 outings between June 22 and October 13, 2023. The campaign documented 533 unique trees located across 10 distinct areas. Each tree was observed an average of 3 times, and during each observation, an average of 3 photos were taken. This resulted in a total of 5,699 images classified by Plantnet app.
