The Weather datasets capture ego-centric interactions from X (formerly Twitter) users in Italy, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Nigeria who engage with local weather-related content. Seed users were selected from replies to popular weather forecasting accounts or, in Nigeria’s case, via keyword search. Data was collected using snowball sampling between April 21 and April 25, 2023. After preprocessing, the datasets include hundreds of egos and interactions per country. These datasets support the analysis of sentiment and social structure in online communities centered around non-polarising, topic-specific discussions.
