The Politics datasets focus on X (formerly Twitter) users in Italy, Brazil, the Netherlands, and Nigeria who interact with official political party accounts. Seed users were drawn from comments on multiple parties per country to ensure political diversity. Data was collected via snowball sampling between April 27 and May 20, 2023. With substantial ego and interaction volumes, these datasets are ideal for examining how polarising topics like politics influence ego network structure and the distribution of negative sentiment across different cultural contexts.
